i am one of those people who admire industrious artists

UP WITH THE REVIVAL OF THIS DYING INDUSTRY
LET ME THROW MY MONEY AT YOU in modest amounts because i am terrible/need to eat also
Reblogging again because I didn’t say anything before when I did the first time:
You have something that you can make with your OWN HANDS. Not many people can say that. Don’t cheapen the fact that you can by offering it up for free. Believe in your talent. The world will only take from you until you’re useless and you’ll have nothing to show for it.
Always calculate how much it costs to produce your work. Supplies, canvases, paint, gas and travel to and from shows. And on top of that is the cost of your time to make said art. Make sure that you put all of that into the cost of your work. If you don’t, you’re losing money. You are not a charity. You need to eat too.
